01 Personal loans across Canada

One call.
Every lender
on the lake.

02 How the call carries

Three steps.
No branch.

You answer a few questions once. We carry them to the lenders. The ones who fit, answer.

01 / THE CALL

Say what it's for and how much

Then a few quick questions about your income and your home. About two minutes, on your phone.

02 / THE LAKE

We carry it to lenders

Your request is matched against lenders across Canada who work with your kind of credit. Soft check only, nothing on your file.

03 / THE ANSWER

A lender who fits reaches out

Works for you? Funds are deposited quickly. Doesn't? You walk away, free.

03 Who sends the call

Working people.
Every kind of credit.

Not a three-digit score. People with a job, a plan, and a bill that can't wait. Lenders in our network read the whole page.

04 Why one call is enough

A bank hears one number. The lake hears the whole call.

Your score is part of it. So is everything a score leaves out: your income, your work, your month.

05 What lenders read

The whole page,
not one line.

Here is what the lenders in our network actually weigh when they answer.

A Caribbean-Canadian woman at her cabin kitchen table with her laptop at dusk
Read as a whole, not as a number
01Income, and how steady it isFull-time, part-time, self-employed, gig, pension or benefits. What comes in and how regularly.
02Your work and time on the jobMonths at your employer and how you're paid count for more than a number from two years ago.
03Housing and what it costs youRent or own, time at your address, your monthly payment. The shape of your month.
04Your credit, as one line among manyLow, thin, bruised by a proposal or a bankruptcy. It's read, not used as the only answer.
06 Who it's for

Every kind
of credit.

07 Questions

The fine print,
in plain words.

Q1

A bank already said no. Why would this be different?

Banks usually decide on your credit score alone. The lenders in our network read your income, your work and your ability to repay as well, so a bank's no isn't always the last word.

Q2

Will checking affect my credit score?

No. Seeing your options uses a soft inquiry that does not appear on your file and does not affect your score. A hard inquiry only happens if and when you accept a specific offer from a lender.

Q3

How much can I ask for?

Requests generally range from $500 to $2,500. The final amount depends on the lender and your situation.

Q4

Bad credit, bankruptcy or a consumer proposal?

Yes, many of our lending partners work with these profiles because they read past the score. Approval and terms are always the lender's call, but it's worth seeing where you stand.

Q5

Is it really free?

Yes, 100% free for you. Our lending partners pay us only when we refer a request to them.

Q6

Is my information safe?

Your data is encrypted and handled under Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA). It is shared only with our partner and its lending network to process your request, and never sold to unrelated third parties.

Q7

Am I obligated to accept anything?

No. A request commits you to nothing. If an offer works, you accept it; otherwise you're free to decline, at no cost.

Q8

Who is Loon Fund?

A referral service, not a lender. We don't make credit decisions or set rates; we carry your request to third-party lenders who do.
